Colored Angora Goats

These mischievous little creatures look like mohair mops. They have bounced, hopped and leaped their way through our barns and pastures. A delight to care for and a joy to own, they provide lustrous, strong mohair in a beautiful range of natural colors.

Angora goats can produce 20 to 25% of their body weight annually in fiber. They produce 2 to 4 times the amount of fiber that most sheep do compared to body weight and feed intake. That's incredible!

We had colored Angora goats for many years and loved them dearly. They really are a delight. But in our move to simplify we decided they no longer fit into the current philosophy of our farm- reduced input, increased output. We miss the antics of the curlie kids, their mischevious moms and the magnificent bucks- but it has made management and chores so much easier. Enjpy these pics.
